"With ReSkin on the damaged areas, I can stay in the saddle without any problem!"

THE Pain while Cycling

Pain between the thighs due to friction from a worn cycling chamois or saddle, while cycling, is a phenomena that is very common among cyclists. If this pain can be prevented, then your performance and enjoyment of your cycling can be increased.

Butters and Creams are just not for everyone, either because of
their feel, the need to continually reapply them or the potential
negative effect of the look on your cycling shorts themselves!

The new, effective option for your long rides is ReSkin.

Why ReSkin Bike Patch was Developed

ReSkin was developed by a company in the Netherlands called BioRacer. They design, manufacture and distribute top-of-the-line cycling kits (see also www.BioRacer.ca). A number of top racing teams wear their kits when training and racing. The materials they use for these kits are of the highest quality and designed for comfort and speed.

In May 2005, Bio-Racer received a couple of complaints from riders of a professional racing team. During the Tour of Germany, they had to race in very in very difficult circumstances. The first day was rainy, the second day it was very hot, and on the third day it was snowing. As a result, their skin became very weak and many riders had blisters and burns between their thighs.

Even clothing specifically designed for racers was not giving them adequate protection against friction and blisters, so Bio-Racer came up with another solution. They took the material from their clothing and used it to create a bandage. The bandage's ability to hug the skin, protecting it from blisters and burns, make it an instant hit with cyclists.

ReSkin has been put on the market only after extensive testing in both the laboratory and the field. World class cyclists are already using the product with great success.

Instructions for Using ReSkin Bike Patch

  1. Remove the backing sheet from the adhesive side of the ReSkin. Ladies may cut the "tab" on the ReSkin for comfort.
  2. Place the ReSkin with the sticky side up on top of your finger tips.
  3. Bring your hand with the ReSkin to between your legs, just below your perineum. For ladies the ReSkin can be used either lengthwise or widthwise - whichever way best reduces the friction.
  4. Place the ReSkin flush to the skin between the legs. This allows the adhesive to form a bond with your skin.
  5. Rub the remainder of the ReSkin quite firmly onto the inside of your legs.

ReSkin will now protect you from Friction - and remember, ReSkin is Washable and Re-Usable.

Sometimes the pleasure and health benefit of many hours of cycling is offset by unanticipated discomfort. In my case I was suffering from friction related issues in my buttocks region. As I ride 5 days per week my butt was not really getting an opportunity to heal on my off days. I tried various chamois creams with no relief of my condition. Fortunately my cycling coach recommended the ReSkin bike patch to me. Desperate for help I gave it a try and much to my delight, my saddle sores quickly subsided. My routine now includes the application of a ReSkin bike patch every time I put my cycling shorts on and a thorough post ride cleaning with anti bacterial soap, followed by a generous application of baby powder. I am getting multiple uses from the patch and cannot say enough about the difference the product has made to my comfort level.

"ReSkin also prevents from chafing when you ride during rainy days."

After my crash in Verviers I had some deep wounds on my elbow and knee, and I directly put ReSkin on top of the wounds. The wounds were so deep they kept bleeding for a couple of days. I've kept the ReSkin patches in place (I've changed them once in a while), and I've put a plaster on top of it, to absorb the bleeding. When you place ReSkin patches on a wound, they won't stick into clothing and plasters. The wounds heal very nicely. ReSkin also prevents from chafing when you ride during rainy days. You just have to put a ReSkin patch between the legs, where the tip of the saddle touches the legs, and the friction problem is gone!

I use ReSkin for all stage races and tours. After a couple of stages chamois crème doesn't work anymore against friction wounds. With ReSkin on the damaged areas, I can stay in the saddle without any problem, and focus entirely on the race instead of my injuries.

What I can tell you is that ReSkin is perfect. I had a lot of irritation problems during the summer, and since I've been using ReSkin the irritation is gone. I always use it, from 30 minutes on the ergotrainer to 4-hour rides on the road. I put a ReSkin on before each ride. In my opinion, ReSkin is a lot better than chamois cream.
